Artist Statement

​

The most precious thing in our lives, and perhaps the only thing we truly carry with us beyond this world, is memory. More precisely, it is our perception of memory. This is the central idea I explore in my work.

For me, the idea always comes before the technique. My multilayered process, the fields of chaotically placed dots, and the interaction of color are not the subject of the paintings themselves; they are the visual language I use to express a way of thinking.

I believe that time constantly reshapes our perception of the world. The events themselves remain in the past, but our relationship to them continues to evolve. In this sense, I am interested less in what happened than in how consciousness reconstructs those experiences over time. Our memories are not fixed; they are living structures that change as we change. Time, existing within our consciousness and continually influencing perception, can almost be understood as a kind of matrix.

I have always been fascinated by the possibility of finding harmony within chaos. To me, chaos is not simply disorder but a state in which multiple contradictions coexist. I do not seek rigid consistency in my work. Instead, I allow conflicting colors, forms, and images to exist together until they reveal an unexpected balance.

Every layer I apply follows its own internal logic. It is a fragile system that exists throughout the painting. The chaotically constructed dots create a sense of impermanence and vibration, while more static forms remind us that not everything is transient. I often think of these dots as visual noise—an element capable of both constructing and dissolving form. This noise has its own rhythm, lyricism, and interconnectedness.

Through these vibrations, I try to translate perception into a visual experience. As time passes and consciousness evolves, our memories shift with us. Every stage of life brings a different understanding of the same events. The instability of memory creates a bridge between vibration and perception, and my paintings attempt to make that invisible process visible.
